I will fight to fully fund our fair funding formula, so our children have the resources they need to succeed, our teachers receive good salaries for their service to our community and state and our communities aren’t crushed by rising property taxes.

I support the Pennsylvania Promise to make public colleges and community colleges tuition-free so that students don’t have to accrue massive debt to get a decent education.

We also need to remove the preemption of municipal and public broadband in Pennsylvania, so our children have affordable and accessible internet no matter where they live.  

Pennsylvania needs to make a historic generational investment in housing creating more rental and owner-occupied housing opportunities. This can be accomplished through land-use reform, increasing funding for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency to help subsidize the creation of new units, construction of social housing, and additional support for first-time homebuyers.

Pennsylvania needs to invest in helping local communities create right-to-counsel programs to prevent evictions and displacement. 

Pennsylvania must also further invest in the energy efficiency of homes to save families from exorbitant heating and cooling costs. 

Our political system is dominated by special interests and wealthy donors that have rigged the rules of our political system in their favor. Pennsylvania is considered the “Wild West” of campaign finance because of the limited regulation of campaign spending.

This rigged system has undermined the ability of the government to represent everyday working people, we must fix our campaign finance system to fix democracy.

We need to limit campaign contributions to stop the influence of PACs and wealthy individuals have over our elections, and  we must enact stronger transparency laws for all PACs.  The Commonwealth should explore capping the gift amounts for elected officials.

Public service should be about serving one’s constituents, not personal benefit.

We need to raise the minimum wage to $15 and index it to inflation.

We’re the only industrialized nation in the world that doesn’t provide universal family and sick leave to our people which is both a moral and economic injustice.

We must pass paid family leave and paid sick leave for all Pennsylvania workers and their families.

We must strengthen the right to organize by preventing the misclassification of workers, promoting sectoral bargaining across industries, and strengthening enforcement and punishment for wage and overtime violations committed by employers.

We must promote workforce investment and development by investing in apprenticeships and increasing our supply of skilled labor.

I will always protect a woman’s right to choose.

I will always stand up for reproductive rights for everyone regardless of gender.

We are in an era where we need proven fighters who will push back against any attacks on Roe vs. Wade and protect the right to choose a safe abortion unconditionally.
